I'd like to think my English grammar skills are at least above average, minus the misplaced comma here and there.
I grew up learning grammar by simply imitating the way intelligent people spoke, but I really had no idea why the way they spoke was eloquent or correct. It all just ended up sounding right.
If I'm ever to teach this language I am so familiar with, I cannot get away with, "because it sounds right" as a reason.
Is there a fast lane for native English speakers to learn English?
