I find that English is an incredibly bland language and there is very little nuance to many words when it comes to expressing emotion, great for description purposes and writing all about my theories but simply put—dry. I much prefer East Asian languages for conveying emotion.
Hokkien has many phrases that are simply untranslatable (explainable yes, but it'll take a while before you truly grab onto the emotion and passion behind the word)
