Does Assimil make you achieve correct pronunciation and accent (tempo, the melody of the language and of various sentences) naturally in a way that Pimsleur does?

Pimsleur has its pros and cons, including some serious cons, but it's often praised in language learning community for its ability to teach you proper accent, and make sound like you know a language better than you do (whole 5 levels of Pimsleur, that is assuming that the language you’re trying to learn has 5 levels, is maybe 2000 words, so not very much).

I had done Pimsleur in the past, but I never tried Assimil, hence I decided to ask.
