Grandmother passed away and we raised a glass and saluted to her the way she always did, but no one knows what it means.
So my Italian grandmother passed away and after the ceremony we stopped to have a drink and a bite to eat. We all raised a glass to mark the occasion and did her favorite salute, ‘Cin Cin’ (I think that’s how it’s spelled?). Afterwards my cousin’s kid asked me what it meant, and I have no idea. None of my cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. know. Can someone help?
