Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu - what's the most useful language to communicate with the immigrants from India?

I am working on a medical phrasebook for different languages and trying to pick the most useful when interacting with immigrants from India (coming to Canada). I know grammar basics and maybe 300 words in Farsi, so suspect Urdu is probably slightly easier for me, but unsure how many people from India speak it. Between Hindi and Punjabi, a quick look at DLI website tells me that Punjabi is easier pronunciation-wise...

Any suggestions?
