Discussion: How would you define the "World's Greatest Linguist?"

Should such a title be bestowed, would the "World's Greatest Linguist" be the "linguist" who speaks the most languages; speaks languages from the largest number of language families; has the largest internet following; most books published; most academic degrees; greatest impact on the history of linguistics; greatest impact on society.... Would the "World's Greatest Linguist" have to have a degree in linguistics or demonstrated knowledge in linguistics, or would language knowledge be sufficient?

This discussion thread stems from this thread about the self-named "World's Greatest Linguist": https://www.reddit.com/r/languagelearning/comments/aae14p/guinness_world_record_holder_for_worlds_greatest/

Which criteria would be used to crown someone the "World's Greatest Linguist"?
