Hi! How well can speakers of Southern Vietnamese dialect understand North Vietnamese dialect? I am an American (not Vietnamese). I know Spanish and Mandarin at about a B1 level. I want to learn 1 or 2 more Asian languages. How much mutual intelligibility is there between the two main Vietnamese dialects?
