Has anyone here learned a language in order to better participate in immigration/refugee activism? For me, this means in Minnesota, which has decent-sized Spanish, Hmong, and Somali-speaking populations (I think some Vietnamese, Khmer, and Karen as well). Any experience with these languages here/choosing between languages to learn for activism/professional life?
