I don't really know if this is the right sub to post it so I'm sorry if it breaks any rules. Could you please explain me what a city agency board is in the state of California? I've found this term in The Dictator's Handbook by Alastair Smith and Bueno de Mesquita, but couldn't find the translation, or the definition. Apparently members of the city council can sit on the city agency boards. What are their responsibilities? What are the functions of the boards? Also, sorry for any mistakes. English is not my native language. Duh.
