I’m in a bit of a language learning rut because I feel like I’ll never fit into a culture even if I learn the language, and I’ll always be an outsider... this is seriously demotivating me. Anyone have advice/experiences? Have you learned a language and travelled to where that language is spoken? If so, how was the transition? How did you assimilate? Did you feel like an outsider? How did people treat you?
