Is English the language where people are more able to understand different accents and ways of speaking?

English is so globalized and most speakers are not native language speakers so is it the language where people are the most tolerant and capable of understanding various accents, tones and ways of pronouncing things? English speakers routinely hear more ways of speaking their language that they can understand beginner's English more in comparison to other languages with less learners

Compared to Mandarin where people are less used to hearing it from foreigners from outside of China and a wrong tone can totally confuse someone
