Does gender of the speaker affect your facility of comprehension??

In my second language (Spanish), I noticed I find it easier to understand women than men

I can think of three reasons as to why this might be: 1.) it may be easier to understand those who share my gender (F) 2.) most of my teachers have been women 3.) I practice listening by watching YouTube, and most youtubers I watch are female

I was wondering if anyone had similar experiences?
